Thesis for a doctor’s degree is dedicated to sales problems in plants and prospects for improvement of management system under conditions of the market economy.

The goal of this thesis is to argue importance of sales activity in economic entities, and determination of methods for improvement of sales management systems in furniture producing plants of the Republic of Moldova.

A special attention has been granted to analysis of managerial functions in sales and possibilities for implementation under conditions of the Republic of Moldova.

Analysis of the effective sales systems has allowed to reveal an interdependence of managerial functions in this field, considering the existing situation under market conditions in the Republic of Moldova.

Based on researches conducted in the field of sales management, thesis points out a need and possibility for optimization of sales departments structure, as a primary element for carrying our this activity.

Results of the research allow us to propose measures for solution of various problems in sales activity, using proposals for improvement of the existing situation in plants of the Republic of Moldova.

A special attention in this thesis has been granted to description of particularities of sales activity in economic entities of furniture industry in the Republic of Moldova, elaboration and argumentation of proposals for improvement of sales activity.

As a result of this research there were developed principles for improvement of managerial system in some plants in furniture industry. Managers of firms in the Republic of Moldova can use this thesis and proposals made by the author as a support for improvement of sales activity.
