ANNOTATION Iliev Petru – “Innovation tehnologies of potato production in Republic of Moldova”, scientific report of doctor habilitat in agriculture, Chisinau, 2016. The results of researches are published in 89 scientific papers. Keywords: variety, potato, crop rotation, terms and planting norms, soil treatment, production technology, potato degeneration, methods and schemes of production, minitubers,biological category, health planting materials, productivity, aphids, viruses, second crops. Field of study: Plant growing. Research purpose and odjectives: The major aim of the research lies in the identification of main technological branches of potato production, elaboration and scientific argumentation of innovative technologies for consumption and seed potato production in Republic of Moldova. Evaluation, selection and introduction of new potato varieties with a high productivity and resistance to biotic and abiotic factors; studies, improvement and elaboration of new technological elements for consumption and seed potato production. Novelty and originality of the work result in the creation, evaluation and implementation of a large variety assorment with high productivity, classified accordingly to the maturity group and direction of use for different production zones with high adaptability and resistance to the environment factors, with high productivity and quality of the tubers. There where elaborated and formulated new principles of organization and production of potato and crop placement, studied, elaborated and improved the new technological elements for ware and and seed potato production. Have been sdtudied and examinated the classical and new methods of seed potato production, and on the base of the studies have been elaborated a new shorter by years scheme for seed potato production, based on meristem culture and accommodated to local production conditions. The fundamentaly new results contribued on elaboration of ware and seed potato production technologies, selection, and introduction of new varieties with high adaptability of environmental factors for a sustainable and solid agriculture in view of climate changes. Theoretical value of the research result from valorification of genetic ressources and introductio of a large diversification of genotypes whith high value caracters, initial biologic material for future breeding process. Establishement of pinciples and elaboration of concept of table and seed potato production in context of take over the constraint biotic and abiotic factors – potato degeneration with a creation of a modern producton technologies, which lead to substantial import reduction and permit to supply a sufficient amount of potato of a local production and partially of seed potato. Elaborated principles will be used on identification of future strategies for studies and developement of potato in Republic of Moldova. Practical value of the research results in creation of the Genetic fund, field trials and implimentation of new varieties for production in concrete zones, elaboration of new pinciples, methods and schemes of production of seed and ware potato offer a large possibility for interdisciplinary breeding and technological reseaches and didactic purposes. It was created a new extraearly potato variety – Sprinter, and elaborated a new procedure of multiplication of potato free from deseases. It was created a system of seed potato production accordingly to a new improved scheme, based on tissue culture. Implementation of scientific results. Implementation of new varieties and innovative technological elements, introduction of a new system of seed potato multiplication and production in complex with other technological elements that led to double or triple the production, reduction of producing areas. In the same time using the second crop method of seed production led to substantial reduction of seed import, from about 2500 t till 400-600 t annualy, which permit to save an annualy amount around of 1.600,00 EURO. Implementation of new innovation led to a total ensuring of the country with ware potato and in some years even the export to other countries.
