Thesis structure: abbreviation list, introduction, five chapters with 2-4 subchapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography consisting 498 titles, 234 pages of main text, chronology, 22 documents, 10 schemes, author’s declaration of authenticity and CV. Publications related to the topic of the thesis: the attained results have been published in 42 scientific works, 6 of them are monographs, 2 dictionaries, 1 document collection and 33 articles.
Study domain: specialization 611.02 – Romanian History (periods).
The purpose and objectives of the study: the presentation and analysis of the Romanian Intelligence and Information Services’ activity and structure from Bessarabia during the 1918-1944 years; theme’s historiography analysis; the identification of the internal and external elements of the Bessarabian instability in the studied period; the estimate of the importance of the delivered information by the Romanian Special Services in taking decisions by Bessarabian administration and Romanian leadership; the exposing of the false Soviet historiography.
Scientific novelty and originality of the work resides in the fact that this paper represents, using unpublished archive documents, an attempt to cover the absence referring to the historiography about the activity of the Romanian Intelligence and Security organs from Bessarabia during the 1918-1944 years and offer an opportunity to investigate the entire historical process of the Bessarabian society’s development.
The fundamentally new results of research have contributed to create a new direction in history science from Republic of Moldova and namely the organisation and activity of the Intelligence Service from Bessarabia, R.A.S.S.M. şi R.S.S.M, having as support the results of the research regarding the Romanian Intelligence and Security organs from Besssarabia during 1918-1944.
The theoretical significance of the work resides in a complex study of the subject using the published and archive sources in order to identify the activity and the results obtained by the Romanian Intelligence and Security Service from Bessarabia (1918-1944).
Practical value of the work. The result of the research makes the historical past to be better known and understood, especially the evolution of all the domains from Bessarabia in the inter-war period and during the World War II.
The implementation of the scientific results. The thesis represents a comprehensive
research that completes the historical knowledge in this domain and represents the beginning of a
new historical research direction.
