The work is expressed on 107 pages and includes introduction, 3 chapters, synthesis of got results and general conclusions, practical recommendations, references with 307 literature sources, 13 tables, 33 figures. The obtained results are published in 14 papers.
Field of research: 323.01 - dentistry.
Purpose and objectives: Purpose is improving of the efficiency of the differentiated use of posts to restore endodontically treated teeth with significant coronal destruction; objectives included: clinical evaluation of methods of dental postendodontic restoration with posts (1), mount’s analysis by means of optical microscopy of some teeth extracted and treated with postendodontic restoration (2), the systematization of the factors affecting the reliability of the postendodontic restoration with posts (3), comparative assessment of the immediate and long-term results of postendodontic restoration (4), development of therapeutic and diagnostic algorithm for the restoration of endodontically treated teeth (5).
Scientific novelty and originality: Clinical efficacy of removal of the smear layer was proved, as well as of preoperative determination of the geometrical configuration of the post bed and photoconducting of used fiberglass post, accurate observance of principles of the biological feasibility, succession of treatment of radicular canals.
Scientific problem resolved in this thesis: consists of the scientific phenomenon of the endodontic treated tooth, depending on the degree of destruction of hard dental tissues, based on the results of studies from submitted autochthonous and worldwide scientific references sources, and confirmed by clinical and in vitro results, achieved in our study, which led to developing and implementing an algorithm of complex treatment, that has provided the predictability of long-term success and diminished considerably possible errors and complications.
Theoretical significance: The research allowed to carry out a comparative assessment in vitro and clinical settings of the effectiveness of the restoration of endodontically treated teeth with a large crown decay, with the subsequent development of the algorithm of their diagnosis and restoration.
Applicable value of work: Using the algorithm of restoration of endodontically treated teeth, depending on the degree of destruction of its hard tissues, subject to possible errors and complications, improves long-term outcomes of morphological and functional recovery.
Scientific results implementation: The scientific value of the study results was verified in the laboratory condition and implemented in the current activity of the university dental clinic IMSP CS of USMF „Nicolae Testemiţanu”, privatу dental clinic „Năstase Veronica”.
