Summary

Structure: Introduction, review of literature, materials and methods of research, 4 explorative chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 176 titles, 29 annexes, 130 pages of text, 30 drawings, 28 tables. The results are published in 28 scientific articles.

Aim of the study: Hygienic assessment of the current application of plant protection means in Moldova and development of prevention measures detrimental impact on health and employees, from the standpoint of public health. Objectives of the study: hygienic assessment of the current management of plant protection products; hygienic assessment of the application of plant protection products; hygienic assessment of employment conditions in the transportation, storage and application of pesticides; hygienic assessment of the safety of agricultural products harvested and quantify health risks; scientific argumentation of the preventive measures the negative impact of plant protection products on different categories of population health.

The innovation and scientific originality:. Current research results differ by originality, have a steering contemporary and current complexity of research conducted for the first time on the health of people who are involved in the management of pesticides in relation to environmental factors occupational that have not been made in recent decades. Scientific problem solved in thesis - It has determined a positive correlation between pesticides and some pathologies prevailing among the population, designed measures have been developed risk assessment and prevention action of pesticides harmful for people involved in treatment processes plantations, population.

The theoretical value. It was realized a study model that harmonizes with the current laws of occupational health and toxicology, with completion of this fields in scientific and educational health problems of persons employed in the management of pesticides. The practical value of the study. Studying the issues adressed in complex enabled us to develop and implementing preventive measures in health surveillance and prevention of adverse impacts from the use of plant protection on the health of persons involved in these processes.

Implementation of scientific results. Scientific results: have served as arguments in the elaboration practical guidelines for determining risk of the action of plant protection products and fertilizers on health workers. The research results will be used as methodological support for specialists Public Health Centers, central and local administrative bodies, family doctors, persons engaged in agriculture, population.
