Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography which consists of 193 titles, 18 annexes, 135 pages of the main text, 31 pictures, 15 charters, 8 formulas. The basic results are published in 19 scientific works.

The field of studies of the thesis constitutes the pedagogic sciences. Didactics of informatics.

The goal of the research is determining the theoretical fundamentals, elaborating, and experimentally validating a model and a methodology for training and developing professional competences specific to the subject of „Artificial Intelligence” by applying of Computerized Training System (CTS) in order to regulate / optimize this process.

The objectives of the research are: (a) analysis of the theoretical and methodological perspectives of approaching the research topic, revealing the psycho-pedagogical fundamentals of the use of CTS; (b) evaluation of the ways of forming the professional competences of the students in the Artificial Intelligence discipline through the comparative analysis of the practices of the Republic of Moldova and other states; (c) theoretical-methodological elaboration and substantiation of the pedagogical model of training and development of students' competences through CTS implementation; (d) The IT development of SCI as its own functional product and its integration into the „Artificial Intelligence” academic discipline with additional potential for applying the fundamental methods and strategies in the training practice; (e) Establishing the peculiarities of the methodology of training and development of professional competences through the capitalization of CTS; (f) assessing the efficiency of the model and methodology developed within the framework of the university subject of „Artificial Intelligence” by mans of a pedagogical experiment.

The scientific novelty and originality consists in the theoretical and methodological foundation of the pedagogical model of training and developing students’ competences in the university subject of „Artificial Intelligence” through the efficient use of CTS developed and implemented by the author as an additional constitutive resource. The pedagogical and information technology integration of the components of CTS are focused on the module-based structure of the content of studies.

The important scientific problem solved is determining the theoretical fundamentals and the methodological particularities of the formation and development of professional competences specific to the subject of „Artificial Intelligence”, which has resulted in designing and elaborating CTS; its implementation has contributed to the development of students’ learning potential, increasing their motivation, the degree of collaboration, and academic progress.

The theoretical significance of research: consists of establishment of elaborated Computerized Training System architecture and the analysis of the impact, which exists towards the formation of skills at students, at the study of university discipline „Artificial Intelligence”.

The applicative value of the research results from the methodology developed and the possibility of its implementation in teaching the future specialists in the professional sphere of ICT. The implementation of scientific results was realized by the introduction of methodology elaborated at the teaching of „Artificial Intelligence” discipline and in the result of its implementation at the teaching of other informatics discipline (for example „Computer Graphics”) within Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of State University of Moldova.
