Summary

The present dissertation is dedicated to the study of the concept related to the development strategy of wine-making industry from Republic of Moldova based on agro-industrial integration. Therefore, the scientific and theoretical basis for strategy concept was revealed, types of economic strategies were presented and, particularly, the importance of applying strategic management by company top-management in the market conditions was mentioned. Also, the position and role of wine-making sector in the national economy and world wine-making sector was determined, the situation in viticulture analyzed, evaluation of actual economic and financial situation of the winneries presented, problems and development prospectives of wine-making revealed.

The model of vertical integartion for wine-making sector from Moldova, on the basis of a concrete enterprise, was suggested and economically proved in the dissertation. For that, the concept of vertical integration and development of integrational processes in Moldovan wine-making were analyzed, the forms of vertical integration, existent in the countries with a market economy, presented, reasons for integration identified. Also, the main directions for viticulture’s development were described in order to establish an efficient base for raw materials’ supply. The author has suggested the State Programme concerning the creation of wine-making agro-industrial holdings, whose efficience was proved by the calculations through the application of mathematic and economic models.

Theoretical statements and practical recommendations, presented in the dissertation, can be used by the winneries and will contribute to an appropriate functioning and prosperity of wine-making sector from Republic of Moldova
