Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, references composed of 177 sources, 21 annexes, 138 pages of main text, 58 figures, 29 tables and 17 formulae. The results obtained are published in 12 scientific works. Field of study: 521.03 – Economy and Management in the field of activity. Thesis goal lies in research and complex analysis of the theoretical and practical managerial aspects on staff motivation, as well as in the development and implementation of some managerial strategies to motivate employees for the purpose of increasing the individual and organisational performances.

Research Objectives: analysis of theoretical and conceptual aspects of staff motivation and managerial implications; assessment of the theoretical framework of motivational management at the level of entities; analysis of the motivational theories through the prism of work satisfaction and dissatisfaction of the employees; assessment of the motivational system and employee perception in correlation with the motivation at the entities from the RM; emphasizing the managerial implications in the process of adopting a motivating behavior of employees; comparative analysis of motivational strategies and tactics from both EU and RM companies; identification and implementation of some effective tools and techniques of staff motivation in autochthonous entities; presentation and argumentation of the resized aspect of the motivational approach of staff through the prism of managerial implications. Scientific challenge settled consists in elaboration and implementation by managers of the most effective and relevant staff motivation tools and techniques at the economic entities from the Republic of Moldova for the purpose of growing the professional satisfaction of the employees, in order to increase the organizational performance.

Novelty and scientific originality of the thesisin correlation with its aim and objectives, and, as well, lies in the scientific substantiation of the theoretical and conceptual framework of staff motivation and the motivational mechanism at the organizational level; highliting and argumentation managerial implications on staff motivation at the different levels of management; assessment of main statistic indicators related to the labour resource, use of the worktime and salary payment in the Republic of Moldova, with direct implications on staff motivation; qualitative assessment of the staff reward system at some enterprises from the Republic of Moldova; elaboration of the general chart of correlative areas as performancemotivation-satisfaction at the organizational level; elaboration and implementation of the proposals for optimisation of staff motivational tools and techniques; argumentation of the necessity to involve the managers in resizing the motivatonal approach for the enterprises form the Republic of Moldova.

Theoretical significance of the thesis consists in the complex analysis and systematisation of epistemological benchmarks in the field of motivational management; elucidation of the motivational theories, policies and strategies adopted at the autochthonous entities; examination of the concepts of work satisfaction and dissatisfaction.

Applicative value of the thesis lies in: analysis and assessment of the motivational system at the national level; diagnosing staff motivation at the autochthonous economic entities; assessment of the motivational policies and strategies applied by the autochthonous economic entities; comparative analysisof the motivational tools and elements used in the Republic of Moldova and in the European Union; assessment of the manager’s level of implication from the autochthonous economic entities in the staff motivation process; development and application of the motivational tools and techniques for the purpose of increasing the performances in the practice of the investitgated entities; development of motivational approches for the entities from the Republic of Moldova.

Implementation of the scientific results. The results of the scientific researches realised were presented in the research articles published in specialised journals, at the scientific and practical conferences in the country and abroad. Some recommendations for optimisation of the staff motivation tools and techniques were proposed for implementation to ”Apa-Canal Chisinau” JSC, Municipal Enterprise ”Directorate of Electrical Transport”, ”Viorica-Cosmetic” JSC, ”Top Fashion” LLC and ”Luxtore” LLC, this being attested by the certificates of implementation enclosed.
