Summary

Structure of the thesis: Introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography from 169 sources, annotation (Romanian, English, Russian), 126 pages of basic text.

The Goal of the research lies in revealing a multispectral approach of the Christian humanism, as a manifestation in the philosophical ideas and the experience of practical activities of Al.S. Sturza’s worldview.

The Objectives of the research aim at the analysis and the explanation of conditions in which the Christian thinking was created and also the factors that determined its appearance, on the basis of the Philosophy, Sociology and political orientations, pedagogical, diplomatic, esthetic, filled with tolerance and love ideas of Al.S Sturza, within the national and European context in which the philosopher – diplomat has developed his activity. The novelty and the scientific originality consists in the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary complex approach of the works and the multispectral activity of the up – mentioned philosopher, his role in the development of spiritual, political and diplomatic life of historical Moldova, Russia and Europe in the first half of the XIXth century. There is emphasised the effort of Al. S. Sturza at the creation of his humanistic view supported by religious, philosofical, political, scientific, didactic, charitable, artistic roots and other sources. It is demonstrated the fact that not the philosophy, even if it had a big influence on him, oriented Al. S. Sturza to humanism, but namely the Christian Orthodox religion, through a synergistic relation with it.

The scientific problem solved while elaborating this paper consists in the complex research of the works and life of Al. S. Sturza. Using new methods, as for example, the hermeneutic circle, while investigating the traditional problem of the humanism, a double advantage was gained: the familiarity with the Sturzian socio-theoretical achievements at the international level and the recognition, in time, of the pioneering merit and the framing of our conational within the European culture, with admirative resonances for the persistent efforts to convince that only the Orthodox faith presents the authentic orientation of humanism.

The theoretical relevance of the research, confirmed epistemically, socio-politically, historically and pragmatico-didactically, resides in the use of the holistic strategy that implies the study of history subjects through the use of intradisciplinary approaches, as well as the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary designs. The applicative value of the obtained results includes three aspects: methodologic – demonstarting the increased efficiency of the hollistic strategy though the inter and transdisciplinary approach, as well as the educational and pragmatic impact through the promotion of the religious humanism according to the Sturzian model. And, not at last, it refers to enriching the knowledge with information about the activity of the philosopher in the light of his religious humanism and the enlargement of the methodological experience of the research, realized through its public mediatization.

The obtained results are published in 18 periodicals: 10 articles in specialised magazines and 8 overviews of the presentations at scientific conferences.
