Thesis structure: introduction, five chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 269 references, 21 annexes, 243 pages of basic text, 48 figures and 37 tables. The results are published in more than 40 scientific papers.

The purpose of the paper consists on developing the theoretical, methodological and applicative foundations in order to improve the management of the sustainable development of the enterprises of the Republic of Moldova, determining and evaluating the role of the organizational culture in increasing the level of the global performances of the companies, as well as identifying the methods capable of directing the organizational culture towards sustainable development values.

The objectives of the research are: the theoretical-conceptual approach to sustainable development management; identifying the methods of collaboration with the stakeholders of the companies; conducting a theoretical and empirical study in order to identify the trends existing in the enterprises of the Republic of Moldova in the field of CSR; conceptualization of organizational commitment; the analysis of the particularities of the organizational culture within the enterprises of the country.

The scientific novelty consists in: developing the conceptual framework regarding sustainable development management and corporate social responsibility; identifying the basic aspects of the interaction process with the company's stakeholders; developing an own model for determining the global performance and conducting an empirical study regarding the assessment of the level of sustainability, as well as the particularities of the organizational culture of companies in the Republic of Moldova; proposing a model to change the organizational culture, capable of enhancing the organizational sustainability. The obtained results determined the creation of a new scientific direction for the multilateral development of the sustainable organizational culture, taking into account the need to connect Moldovan companies to the principles of sustainable development. Following the studies, it was found that it is a new field, little addressed in the specialized literature and managerial practice, but that it represents an important resource of the modern management to contribute to the increase of the organizational performances.

Theoretical significance. The research carried out essentially broadens the theoretical and conceptual framework of the management of sustainable development at the enterprise level, as well as the concept of organizational culture, proposing theoretical points regarding the increase of the organizational commitment, the evaluation and the modification of the organizational culture. The recommendations made can be used by any company, regardless of the field of activity or size, as well as by certain state institutions in the Republic of Moldova.

The applicative value of the thesis is manifested by the fact that the results of the studies carried out allow us to outline concrete ways of improving the situation regarding the assessment of the level of sustainability of companies in the Republic of Moldova and of organizational integration of sustainability through the modification of the organizational culture.

The research results were implemented within ODIMM, as well as in several enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, such as: "Bucuria" S.A., "EFES Moldova" S.A. and "Romanița" S.A.
