Summary

The purpose of this research thesis is conditioned by great lately transformations in psychological science, in direct link with increasing importance of interdisciplinary researches. It appeared the necessity of harmonious and practical applying in common of psychological, pedagogical and medical approaches related to the problem of recovering of children with hereditary mental diseases (HMD) in the context of scientific progress in genetics, medicine, pedagogy and psychology fields. Development amelioration resources of children with hereditary mental diseases represent some recovering and correction procedures, methodically applied by a crew of divers specialists in institutions and in families of affected children.

In the first chapter is presented diversity and historical evolution of approaches and attitudes of specialists in different profiles: numerous physicians (in psychiatry, genetics, neurology, pediatrics), psyho-pedagogues, psychologists, pedagogues, sociologists, biologists, philosophers etc. related to problem of HMD. Different forms, tips, functions, and causes of HMD, particularities of development of affected children are described and analyzed in first chapter.

Children affected by Down and X–fragile syndromes, two most frequent forms of hereditary mental diseases, are experimentally studied in second chapter. This experimental research includes children in first three years of age, from family and institutional environments. The process of development of children affected by hereditary mental diseases is profoundly analyzed in the perspective of three psychical basic behaviors: psycho-motorial, social-affective, cognitive-verbal.

In the last chapter of thesis is described the applying procedure of psychological, pedagogical and medical resources of development improvement of children with HMD. It is emphasized the importance of sooner diagnosis of hereditary mental diseases form and applying of models and resources of correction and recovering of affected children. Role of family (parents and relatives) is considered to be of maximal importance in achievement of some progress in development of children under three years of age. Methodic applying of development improvement resources to children with hereditary mental diseases can be more efficient if it is done as soon as possible by a team of divers specialists in collaboration with relatives and family of child.
