The doctorate thesis “The left side parties in the Republic of Moldova. 1989-2001”, is the result of researches of one of the Republic of Moldova’s history problem not explored until, concerning the foundation and the evolution of the pluripartydism and especially of the left-side political parties. Due to the past political changes in society, mostly determined by the activity of the political parties it is justified the attempt to constitute the partydism’s history as a whole, but rather of its components, for better understanding of their nature.
This paper is formed of three distinctive parts, each of them with its specific nature and significance, the reason being the necessity to cover the period when the events took place. In a „immediate history” unprecedented picture, the author presents a large number of materials that allow the understanding of facts which occurred in those over ten years that represent the object of study, bringing once with the archives opening a succession of documents that at least partially clarify the defining events of the period.
In this way, the first part is an examination of the problem connected with the politics of reorganization initiated by the Soviet leader M.Gorbachiov, the first result of which was the starting of Moldavians liberation movement, in the context of which the pluripartydism’s emergence has been produced.
The second part is a successive analysis of the left side party’s activity during 1994-1998: the attending of the electoral ballots, of the government, and finally their removal from governing as a result of its unpreserved politics. The paper ends with the research of the channel that P.C.R.M. passed through since the legality restoring, in 1993, until the accession to power’s tops, in 2001, as a result of the parliamentary elections victory.
The difficulty of concluding the paper was extremely great, its goal being multiple. First of all, as any research, it claims an objective presentation, unprejudiced of facts and events, of the leading political actor’s position that are still alive. Secondly, the paper bents to point out the labor conscription of some personalities that managed the new independent State’s benefits and ruled the political life, the problems they confronted with, the solutions, the victories and failures of their political labor conscriptions, without being qualified and marked. The third, the originality of paper writing and it’s presentation in a relatively short time from the moment of the events consumption, lies in the necessity of a dry language utilization in the historical and objective reporting of the facts and the presentation of characters in their real dimension.
