Domain of Study: Theory of Instruction and Didactics of the English Language.

Aim of Investigation: to construct, substantiate pedagogical conditions of cooperative learning and a technological model of cooperative learning in the process of studying English (primary school).

Objectives of Investigation: investigation of the issue of cooperative learning and its related theories; identification and redefinition of the concept of cooperative learning, with a focus on its basic components and principles; discovering particular characteristics of cooperative learning in comparison with traditional learning; specification of group types, their distinctiveness, the criteria of group building as a component of cooperative learning; substantiation of pedagogical conditions and their delimitation in educational, psychological, methodological and linguistic conditions; elaboration of the pedagogical conditions and their validation through an experiment; elaboration of a technological model of cooperative learning in the process of studying English (primary school) and its validation through an experiment.

Novelty and Scientific Originality of the Thesis: historical, sociopedagogical and psychological reconsideration of cooperative learning in relation to its comparative analysis with traditional learning; multi-disciplinary approach in the context of group analysis as a basic component of cooperative learning. The following important scientific issue has been resolved: demonstration of applied value of pedagogical conditions as one of the basic components of the technological model of cooperative learning in the process of studying English (primary school).

Theoretical Significance of the Thesis refers to: evolution of the concept of cooperative learning; advantages of cooperative learning in comparison with traditional learning; basic characteristics of the group and criteria of group building; pedagogical conditions of cooperative learning, tehnological model of cooperative learning in the process of studying English (primary school).

Applied Value of the Research:elaboration and substantiation of the pedagogical conditions, which are components of the technological model of cooperative learning in the process of studying English (primary school). The pedagogical strategies, technologies and the evaluation system determined coherence and functioning of the process of teaching English.

Implementation of the Scientific Results: the concept of cooperative learning and the technological model of cooperative learning in the process of studying English (primary school) have been displayed in a number of methodological and scientific materials and implemented in some schools at the primary level.
