German Language Teaching The aim of the research: theoretical and methodological foundations of SCC and implementation of the pedagogical pattern in building students’ SCC using GLPT. The objectives of the research

are to define the theoretical basis of building SCC in the framework of interrelated learning of German language and culture; to describe the origin of structural development of SCC; to study sociocultural characteristics of PT; to analyze the problem of teaching-learning German language in higher institutions from the perspective of the subject matter and to determine the levels of already built SCC; to elaborate and experimentally check the effectiveness of the teaching pattern in building SCC of the students of Philological Faculty by means of GLPT; quantitative and qualitative analysis of the experimental results. Scientific novelty and originality of the research

consist in defining theoretical basis of building SCC in the interrelated framework of learning German language and culture; describing the origin of the structural content of SCC in development; identifying the role and the particularity of the GLPT; describing sociocultural characteristics of PT; building the teaching pattern of SCC of philology students on the basis of GLPT. The scientific issue solved

consists in theoretical and methodological foundations of building SCC. It has allowed to study the peculiarities of PT; to determine the content and the structure of SCC; to define sociocultural characteristics of PT; to describe the levels of SCC the levels of SCC; to elaborate and experimentally check the effectiveness of the pedagogical pattern in building SCC on the basis of GLPT, as a result it was possible to implement the process of building SCC by means of GLPT and to present a complex of built qualities of sociocultural identity needed to realize a successful intercultural dialogue. The theoretical importance of the research focuses on updating the basic

concepts of the research; on defining the structure and content of SCC; on describing sociocultural characteristics of PT; on defining the fundamental basis of building SCC in students by means of GLPT; on elaborating the teaching pattern of building SCC on the materials of GLPT; on elaborating evaluation and value criteria of SCC. The applied importance

results in experimental application of the effectiveness of the teaching pattern of building philology students’ SCC using GLPT by means of a complex set of specific assignment and exercises aimed at building sociocultural values. The implementation of scientific results:

the results of the research were approved at international and national conferences and were tested in institutions of higher education in Moldova during the years 2008-2015.
