Summary

The thesis includes: introduction, 5 chapters, general conclusions, practical recommendations, list of bibliography with 187 sources, annexes, 167 pages of basic text, 50 tables, 32 figures, 48 photos. The results were published in 21 scientific papers.

Research field - Parasitology.

Aim of thesis consist in substantiation of a detailed and integer system of bio-ecological and ethological knowledge of green ranids and broad and complex study of their helminth fauna in natural and anthropogenic ecosystems from the Republic of Moldova. Objectives: assessment of spatial distribution and population number of green ranids in various natural and anthropized habitats; characteristics of morphological peculiarities of green ranids populations; highlighting the peculiarities of breeding and reproductive behavior; establishing the diversity of green ranids helminth fauna from various aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, natural and anthropized; revealing of extensivity and intensity of invasions in amphibians from the complex of green ranids; determining of infestation level in the form of mono- and poliinvasions in green ranids; establishing of epizootic role of green ranids, evaluation of ecological state and elaboration of conservations measures.

Scientific novelty and originality. A systemic approach was performed to the group of green ranids from the ecosystems of the Republic of Moldova, completed with: evaluation of bio-ecological peculiarities of spatial structure and detailed elucidation of the annual reproductive cycle. For the first time a whole pattern of breeding behavior was elaborated and determined the level of infestation in the form of mono- and poliinvasions.

The solved important scientific problem consists in scientific substantiation of bioecological, ethological peculiarities, and the helminth fauna of green ranids in the Republic of Moldova, that contributed to the evaluation of population structure, determining the infestation level with helminths, which fact allow their use as bioindicators. Theoretical significance. The obtained results on the infestation level with helminths of green ranids reveal the ecological status of aquatic and terrestrial biotopes, and bring an essential contribution to the development of theoretical basis of anthropic impact and diversity of helminth fauna.

Applied value of the work. The obtained results can be used in epizootic evaluation of aquatic and terrestrial biotopes; in developing methods for regulating helminth fauna diversity, as well as in the determination of the species, which participate in the formation of outbreaks of diseases.

Implementation of scientific results. The obtained scientific results are used in teaching process at the faculties on biology of the Universities from the Republic of Moldova.
