Summary

Thesis structure includes: introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 164 titles in 6 languages, 141 pages of basic text, 4 annexes, containing 179 examples of musical notes. The research results are reflected in 8 published scientific articles.

Field of study: musical folklore. Goals and objectives. The aim of the research is to identify functional and structural peculiarities of romanian lullabies from the Republic of Moldova’s folklore. The object of study consists of a genuine musical material that has not been investigated, the demonstration through musical documents, scientific arguments; the originality, value and importance lullabies as part of national and international cultural heritage. To achieve this, the following objectives were established: elucidating the phenomenon of the lullaby in traditional culture and the analysis of semantic, functional and poetic content peculiarities; classification of musical and poetical standpoint of lullabies; highlighting peculiarities of rhythmic and melodic architecture; referral and highlighting the universality of musical language of lullabies.

Scientific novelty. Innovative scientific nature of the work is determined by the multidisciplinary and systemic treating of lullaby; revealing its semantic, functional and structural particularities, issues previously not elucidated in local ethnomusicology. The originality of the research lies in addressing the multidimensional phenomenon of lullabies and attempting to reveal the universality of its musical language.

The important scientific problem solved consists in demonstrating the documentary and artistic value of the lullaby as an element of intangible cultural heritage; highlighting the structural and functional particularities; distinguished relations in the poetic-musical level with other folk categories.

The theoretical significance. The research is based on fundamental theoretical concepts of modern ethnomusicological science, deepening the analytical and systemic side. Starting from the specificity of the musical material studied, the goal was to analyze themes and features of the lyrics, sound structures, rhythmic and architectonic methodology, using a complex system of corresponding multifaceted research that can be applied to studying other folk categories.

The pratical value of the thesis. The research results of analytical type, structural and compared, may constitute important milestones for studying folk music. This paper will help to broaden the knowledge of national culture and can be used in courses teaching "Folk music", "History of national music", but also as a data source for some special courses, such as: "Folk vocal", "Composition" and others.

Implementation of scientific results. Scientific results were valued and promoted during the 2011-2015 years as professional work experience as a broadcaster at folk shows on different TV stations, in teaching, in the communications presented at national and international scientific conferences organized by AMTAP and international scientific conference "Colocviile „Brăiloiu” 2013" (Bucharest, Romania), and were reflected in 8 scientific articles published in Moldova and Romania. They will essentially contribute to filling the knowledge of folk creation and solving various problems faced by Moldovan researchers in their study of the intangible cultural heritage.
