Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography consisting of 282 sources. Results of the study were presented in 10 scientific papers published in specialized scientific journals and collections of the Republic of Moldova and Romania.

Field of study: international protection of fundamental rights to work.

The purpose and objectives of the thesis. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the international cooperation of the states in the area of the fundamental rights to work on the basis of international law, the doctrine and practice, and to identify legal gaps in order to develop arguments and concrete recommendations in order to promote effective protection of the fundamental rights to work at the international and national level.

The objectives of the dissertation are following: analysis of the prerequisites and historical evolution of the international cooperation of the states in the area of protection of rights to work; analysis of the main aspects of cooperation between states in order to ensure the fundamental rights to work both at the international, universal and European regional levels; analysis of the basic rights to work through the prism of international law, theoretical approaches and practical realities; identification and analysis of the relationship between trade agreements and core labour standards; coverage of legal gaps in the field; formulation of conclusions and recommendations on the subject of the study.

Scientific novelty and originality of the thesis. Scientific novelty of the dissertation is determined by a complex analysis of international cooperation between states in order to ensure the fundamental rights to work, defining the essence, features and legal gaps and poorly studied area within the national legal doctrine.

The main scientific problem solved in the study is to identify the characteristics of cooperation of the states in ensuring the fundamental rights to work, as well as in light of shortcomings in this area and formulate concrete conclusions with a view to their subsequent removal - a task which is aimed at ensuring the effective protection of fundamental rights to work at the national level, including the Republic of Moldova.

The theoretical significance and practical value of the work. The present study, being a first work of this scale in the Republic of Moldova, which deals directly with the issue of international cooperation in the area of the fundamental rights to work, creates preconditions for the further development of this topic and the development of new solutions, aimed at improving the legal framework and practice in this area. The results and conclusions are the basis for the improvement of international labor law, as well as to better achievement of its functions.

The practical value of the work: the thesis is for anyone interested in these issues, as well as for professionals in related fields. The research results can serve as a guide for policy-makers, government officials, representatives of state and government, etc. In addition, the conclusions and recommendations of the thesis can be used in the process of amending the existing legislation, the adoption of new laws, improvement of policy in this area; it can be used in the educational process in higher educational institutions in the faculties of law.

Implementation of scientific results is achieved by means of coverage of theoretical conclusions and practical recommendations contained in published scientific articles in the specialty, as well as their approbation through scientific conferences at the national and international level.
