Thesis structure. The given research includes: annotations in Romanian, Russian and English, table of contents, introduction, 3 chapters with 8 pictures and 4 table, 141 pages of the body of the text, 185 bibliography titles, general conclusions and recommendations. The achieved results are presented in 12 scholarly works.
Research field. Mass Media and Communication.
The goal and objectives of the research. The main goal of the given research paper is the theoretical approach of the phenomenon new media and to investigate the application of new technologies in the field of political communication from Moldova. During the conduct of the research the following objectives were fulfilled: complex conceptual approach of this phenomenon by studying the main definitions, forms, theories, models of new media, to identify the main methods of empirical research of new media, to determine the major implications of new media in politics, to identify the role of new media for effective political communication in Republic of Moldova.
The actuality and scientific novelty of the research. The nature of the thesis is innovative and represents a unique experience at the national level for its approach grounded on the following aspect: scientific research on the integration of new media in political communication strategy of representative institutions from the Republic of Moldova.
The major scientific problem solved: theoretical and empirical approach of new media, a fact that led to the determination of major implications of new media in politics and of the practices of online political communication in Republic of Moldova, as well as the argumentation of the role of new media for effective dialogue between governments and governed. Theoretical significance of the thesis consists in: complex conceptual approach and the study of the main forms, theories, models of new media, as well as the determination of major implications of new media in politics.
Applied relevance of the research. This paper is an actual source; thesis material may be used in the training process both in higher education and in postgraduate studies.
The application of scientific results. The results achieved during the conducted investigations were presented at various scientific conferences and were published in 12 papers, can be used for further scientific investigations focused on the researched topic and in teaching process (courses on online journalism, theories of mass communication, history of communication, political communication).
