Field of study: World Economy; International Economic Relations The thesis aim is to identify and establish the hetero geneit y of labor productivit y growth factors through the research of specific types of determinants of increasing labor productivity at different stages of the development of national economies.
Objectives of the thesis: the research of theories, the identificat ion and contribut ion of various economic and social factors to increasing labor productivity; the evolution of labor productivit y in the countries and its impact on economic growth; ident ification by the correlat ion method and the HARD matrix of the country-specific determinants of factors of growth or stagnation in labor productivity; researching the factors of the increase of labor productivity in the Republic of Moldova.
Scientific novelty and originality: Identifying and complet ing the factors of increasing labor productivity specific to each stage of economic growth, from the factor-based economy to the economy based on well-being and happiness (completing Stater's economic development stages proposed by Porter); Redefining the human factor involved in economic act ivit y by moving from "HomoEconomicus" to "HomoTalentusLearnability"; Identifying the determinants of labor productivity based on the trinom: "competitiveness-innovation-productivity", using the "method of correlating the economic indicators" and the method proposed by the European Commission, the "Hard Matrix"; Ident ifying the Productivit y Index (IP) in different stages of the national economy's development: Factor Driven, Efficiency Driven, Innovation Driven; The use of the method of correlation between economic indicators and the Hard Matrix method for determining the factors for increasing labor productivity in the Republic of Moldova.
Important scientific issue solved is to determine the factors of the increase of labor productivity at different stages of development of the national economies, using the method of correlation of the economic indicators, the Hard Matrix Method and the Productivity Index, establishing the level of labor productivit y in the Republic of Moldova, proposing recommendations that allow the cohesion of this indicator in all regions of the country.
Theoretical and practical value can be approached from the point of view of a particular interest, because the labor productivit y is very litt le researched by the co mmunit y of the local scient ists; The results obtained from the adaptation of the Hard Matrix Model to the realit ies of our country can serve to reset the Moldova 2020 Strategy developed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova; The paper proposes to substantiate and promote more factors of labor productivity growth, which would contribute to the transition of our country from the stage of economic development based on factors to the one based on welfare.
