Summary

The structure of the thesis includes: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 178 titles, 25 annexes, 129 pages of the main text illustrated with 33 tables, 39 figures. The results of research are published in 18 articles (8,33 c.a.). Object of the research: Moldova's labor market in rural areas and mechanisms for its regulation. The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of the labor market in the rural areas of the Republic of Moldova and determine the mechanisms for its regulation and include the following tasks: a) analysis of theoretical and conceptual approaches to the functioning mechanisms of the labor market; b) analysis of labor market regulation models and the possibility of their implementation in the RM; c) identification of the labor market characteristics in rural areas; d) analysis of the labor market situation in the countryside Moldova; e) analysis of factors affecting the supply-demand ratio in the labor market of RM; f) conducting a sociological survey on the situation in the labor market in rural areas of RM; g) analysis of public-private partnerships and their impact on the labor market; h) analysis of strategic labor market policies.

The scientific and original novelty of the research are: 1. Demonstrating and systematizing theoretical and conceptual approaches to the mechanisms of functioning and regulation of the labor market. 2. The manifestation of the characteristics of the labor market in rural areas of RM. 3. Determination of factors affecting the supply-demand ratio in the labor market in rural areas. 4. Development of the mathematical regression model for the level of migration of rural population from the RM, based on the most important economic factors. 5. Development and substantiation of ways and strategies in the regulation of the labor market in rural areas of Moldova.

The solved scientific problem consists in the fundamental conceptual and methodological justification of the specific mechanisms of functioning and regulation of the labor market in rural areas and their introduction in Moldova. Priority directions in solving a scientific problem are: identification of factors affecting the supply-demand ratio in the labor market in rural Moldova; econometric modeling and forecasting of the labor market in rural areas; stimulation of small and medium business in rural areas; development of economic and social infrastructure in rural areas.

Theoretical and practical significance of the thesis lies in: developing its own model for regulating the labor market; the definition of active and passive measures of employment policies in rural areas; development of recommendations for the introduction of private-public partnerships in rural areas; development of measures to stimulate the development of small businesses, as well as improving the system of motivation of work in rural areas.

Scientific results of the work. The main content of the work was discussed in the framework of national and international conferences and reflected in 3 acts of implementation.
