Summary

The work consists of an introduction, four chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, a bibliography of 146 titles, 6 appendices, 124 pages (before the bibliography), 70 figures, 12 tables. The results are published in 44 scientific papers.

Field of study- technical. The purpose of the work is the elaboration of criteria for material choosing, design and development of construction and geometric shapes for the manufacture of TE using in different technological processes by applying PEDM at ordinary conditions.

The object of the study was the TE used in various processes using PEDM. To achieve the purpose of the thesis, the following main objectives were focused: - theoretical and experimental investigations of erosion processes of interaction of the PEDM plasma channel with the TE surface; - analysis of the results of experimental investigations on the erosion and transformations in material of the TE in various technological processes using PEDM; - choice of the material, determination the geometric shape, design and development of the construction of the TE for different technological processes of modification of surface properties of pieces used in machine and apparatus building.

The novelty and scientific originality of the work lies in the development of the theoretical basis on the erosion of the PEDM plasma channel interaction with the TE surfaces, the analysis of the results of experimental studies on the erosion of the TE in various processes using PEDM and the development of proposals for geometry and material for the manufacture of high-performance.

The important scientific problem: the development of criteria for the design and construction of TE used in the surface piece processing by applying PEDM.

Theoretical importance are provided by: the development of the theoretical basis of the processes of erosional interaction of the PEDM plasma channel with the TE surface; theoretical and experimental recommendations relating to the design of the construction, the geometric shape and the choice of TE material with enhanced resistance to electro-erosion. Applied value of dissertation consist in development of the construction, the geometric shape and the choice of TE material with enhanced resistance to electro-erosion for processing by applying PEDM.

Implementation of scientific results. According to the results of work, 1 patent was obtained and one patent application was filed and an implementing act at the "Glass Factory in Chisinau".
