The purpose of the thesis: research, identification and estimation from the perspective of the historical evolution of the role played by the Hârbovăț monastic settlement within the monastic life of the Prut-Dniester area in the 1930s. XVIII – 60s of the century. XX Research objectives: investigating the historiography of the problem and identifying new directions based on new sources; establishing the role and place of the Hârbovăț monastery within the monastic life; determination of the life of the monastic community from Hârbovăț in the context of the monastic life from the Prut-Dniester interfluve; appreciation of the spiritual, cultural and material heritage of the Hârbovăț monastery in the monastic activity in Bessarabia. Scientific novelty and originality: based on archival sources, achievements in the field of history, complex and interdisciplinary research, the role played by the Hârbovăţ monastery in the monastic life in the Prut-Dniester area. The subject approached and capitalized in this research covers a gap in Romanian historiography by discussing aspects of monastic life less known in the field, setting four distinct historical milestones in the evolution of monastic life in the area. The important solved scientific problem: the research topic addressed the role of the Hârbovăț monastery in the monastic life in the Pruto-Dniester area, which led to the elaboration of overviews of the evolution of a monastic settlement during four distinct historical stages in order to apply them in micro-researches of social history and spiritual. Theoretical significance: the scientific approach is a theoretical and methodical framework based on the achievements of historiography. The approached material has a multidisciplinary character, being in direct and indirect connection with history, theology, culture, heritage, education, etc. Applied value: this paper will be useful to several categories of researchers who are interested in ecclesiastical history in general and that of monasticism in particular in the eastern part of historical Moldova. The information and opinions expressed in the thesis can be a source for developing and completing courses for students in the specialties of history, theology, etc. The presented material can be used for the elaboration of bachelor's, master's, doctoral theses, as well as for the preparation of lectures, conferences, mass media presentations. Implementation of scientific results: the results of the investigation were capitalized by the author by participating in national and international scientific events, being materialized in scientific publications. The scientific results obtained were applied selectively in the professional activity of the author. 6
