The purpose of this research is studying problems and prospects of development of the national state, features of its structure functional transformation and strengthening in the process of globalization. It is necessary to consider directions of the further evolution of the given institute, and also search of the resources leaded on strengthening its institutional positions in the new global order.
In the first chapter “Theoretical and methodological basis of research of essence of the national states and globalization” are offered and analyzed approaches to definition of essence of concept «national state», and also conceptual installations of studying of global processes are exposed. Definition of the nation is resulted, basing on its characteristics as ethnic generality and as sets of citizens of the separate state, irrespective of their ethnic accessory. The state is considered as the core political institute in struggle for vital space of the nation.
In the second chapter “Attributes and functions of the national state in a context of global dimension” the national state as the subject of development and object of influence of globalization is analyzed. The main tendency of modern state and national construction is expressed in a wide reorganization of an existing political map of the world. Conclusions are based on consideration of the concrete mechanisms providing efficiency of functioning of the national state in conditions of globalization, disclosing adapting criteria and functions of the modern state.
In the third chapter “The correlation of the national origin and global tendencies of the modern world development” prospects of evolution of the national state in global environment are in a complex deduced, and also the basic directions of development of political processes of Republic of Moldova during an epoch of globalization are examined. Are investigated state prospects of the republic with a conclusion crisis influencing its position in the formed global order and some recommendations of a choice of the further way of it evolution.
