Summary

PhD Theisis Structure: Introduction, three chapters, conclusions, practical recommendations, bibliography, - 226 Sources cited, 208 pages, 18 tables, 55 figures. The results are published in 12 scientific papers.

Research goal is to streamline the training process to discipline students in high school "physical education" by applying modern teaching strategies.

Objectives of the thesis are: analysis theory and practice of Physical Education on the effectiveness of the training process based on modern teaching strategies for training; assessment of initial training of secondary level students in as far as psychomotor and cognitive aspects are concerned; developing programs (models) in order to use the teaching strategies within the educational process of Physical Education at the level of secondary education and experimental arguments as to the effectiveness of application of contemporary teaching strategies to streamlining the educational process within the discipline of ”Physical Education” in the secondary stage.

The novelty and scientific originality is determined by the application of the developed methodology of contemporary teaching strategies in Physical Education lessons with high school students during a school year .

The theoretical significance resides in the foundation of the following scientific and analytical aspects: physical preparation, acquirement of the necessary motor skills specific to some sports, theoretical knowledge and attitudes to be manifested during the Physical Education lessons by high school students (Class IXth). The development of a program/curriculum that includes the application of contemporary teaching strategies within the Physical Education discipline during a school year.

Value of application. Research results can be successfully used within Physical Education lessons in order not only to render the educational process more efficient but also to increase student interest in as far as Physical Education is concerned. The experimental data accumulated can be applied within the disciplines of the same type and those of the psycho-pedagogical one in sports institutions.

Implementation of scientific results of research results were approved and implemented in the educational process discipline "Physical Education" in the National College "Costache Negri" and in colleges and high schools in districts: Galaţi, Focşani, Brăila, Bacău, Iaşi.
