Domain of study and objectives research. The thesis includes a scientific research of the place and role of the European Union in a world of deep change, and the Republic of Moldova reporting at (Geo) political continentals and global contemporary metamorphosis.

The purpose of research is the theoretical analysis of EU weighting in the current international political system marked by a (Geo) political resetting on planetary scale. In theory aims investigation, we consider achieving the following objectives: conceptualization of the term international political system from ontological and epistemological point of view; geneses description, development and international political system processes; elucidation European political construction and operating mechanisms of the European Union by judging systemic theories; emphasizing metamorphose peculiarity of political system in the context of contemporary international political unification of Europe; demonstration weighting of the European Union in world periphery, by competition with other protagonists of the international arena; analysis of relations between EU and Republic of Moldova, and theoretical argumentation of the benefits' resulting from these relations.

Scientific novelty and originality. Scientific innovation of the research derives from an attempt to make a synthesis of two complex categories: the international political system and the European Union, clearing up the genesis and the evolution of two categories, including the current interaction of these, through the prism of the systemic theoretical abstractions, and the formulation of some statements concerning the eurointegration of the Republic of Moldova.

Theoretical significance and applicative value of the research. The research represents resuscitation, and at the same time, a rethinking of the systemic theory, that coexists with empirical and Cartesian approaches. The sphere and the diversity of these theoretical and methodological loans do not allow us to call the result a theory, but what emerges is an important theoretical framework in which can be built a systemic metatheory.

Results of the research may be used by policy-makers in Republic of Moldova, in particular by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, to build a more effective dialogue with the European Union in the context of international political architecture in deep change. Also, the results work are used by teachers that support the theory courses university: "History and theory of international systems”, “Globalistics”, “Geopolicy” etc.
