The doctoral thesis for the title of Ph. D. in Art Studies Creation of composers of the Republic of Moldova in repertoire of children’s choirs written by Shimbaryov Ana. Specialization 17.00.01 – Audio-Visual arts (Musical Art), Chisinau, 2012: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, 146 pages with basic text, bibliography containing 212 references, 89 note examples and supplement including 4 glossaries. The materials of research are reflected in 9 scientific articles.
Area of research. The оbject of research is choral creativity of composers of Republic Moldova for children. The best choral compositions addressed to children are serving as the subject of research.
The purpose and work problems. The work purpose is to study, to analyze and to present choral music for children, created by composers from Moldova. Research problems are to reveal specific style features of music for children; to track evolution of genre versions and the national-characteristic beginning in professional composer creativity for children, to define performing difficulties in analyzed compositions and to plan ways of their overcoming.
Scientific novelty and originality. The given work represents the first panoramic research of choral creativity of composers from Moldova for children. Many compositions found by author in hand-written private collections, are analyzed for the first time. The scientific problem consists of studying of Moldavian composer's choral music for children from the point of view of its specific style (both universal and national), genre parameters and children's choral performance peculiarities.
Theoretical value. In thesis working out of a problem of style of children’s music and a problem national in music for children is carried out. The author presents their refractions in the field of choral creativity of composers of Moldova for children.
The practical importance of work. Dissertation materials can be used in lecture courses on history and a technique choral performance, on history of national music, and also is direct in work of choir masters with children’s group.
Realization of scientific results. Work materials have found practical applications in a training course of the choral conducting, which author conducts on faculty of choral conducting, as well as is direct in work with children’s choir in the musical-choral school № 85, Kishinau
