Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, 142 bibliographical titles, 120 basic text pages, 27 figures, 29 formula, 24 tables. The results of the thesis are published in 9 scientific papers.

The purpose of the reasearch resides in research and complex analysis of rural tourism in Republic of Moldova, the public policies and formulating strategies for development and promotion of rural tourism.

Research objectives: critical approach of the concept of rural tourism in the view of several authors; revealing aspects and particularities management and promotion of tourist product promotional mix; presentation of public policies on tourism in Moldova; analysis of indicators of tourism development and the forecast for the period 2016-2020, taking into account the trends and factors influencing the given range; evaluation of management effectiveness and promotion techniques at the Agripension Butuceni; studying perceptions and motivations of tourists about tourism services in rural areas; developing a management and strategic model of development and promotion of rural tourism as a tool for managing macroeconomic rural tourism sector; identifying and presenting ways and tools to streamline the management of rural tourism promotion.

Scientifical novelty and originality of this thesis: systematization of the rural tourism concepts and tourism management; elucidating the promotional mix instruments and means of tourism services in rural areas; analysis of indicators tour and the forecast for the period 2016-2020; identifying measures to improve the management Agripension Butuceni; developing a quantitative research on tourists' perception issues regarding tourism services in rural areas; shaping consumer profile of rural tourism services; theoretical model presenting managerial and strategic development and promotion of sustainable rural tourism; proposal and rationale efficient management tools to promote rural tourism.

The important solved scientific problem consists in identifying features of rural tourism and promoting tourist product management in Moldova, which prompted the development of ways and tools to streamline the management to promote rural tourism in order to increase awareness and its attractiveness for domestic and foreign tourists.

The theoretical significance of the work consists in: epistemological complex analysis and systematization of rural tourism and tourism product promotion, presentation and argumentation of viability of public policies on tourism, processes, relationships and tourism management strategies and ways to streamline it.

Applicative value of the work resides in the practical application of management tools to streamline the promotion of rural tourism, ways to improve application management activity of Agropension Butuceni. Computer software implementation record for the Agripension Butuceni tourism.

Implementation of scientific results: research results were presented and discussed at scientific conferences and symposiums, published in scientific journals in the field. Scientific and practical recommendations were proposed for implementation to the Agropension Butuceni and coordinated within ETECO and ANTREC.
