Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, 204 titles of bibliographical resources, 25 annexes, 150 pages of main text, including 31 figures, 23 tables and 12 formulas. The results are published in 21 scientific papers.
Field of study: 521.03. Economics and Management in the field of activity. Scope and objectives of the thesis: The purpose of the paper is to highlight and argue the efficient corporate management streamlining through the diagnosis of economic and financial potential of the entity that will enable the foundation of strategic decisions within the enterprise and will ensure the achievement of capital providers’ goals.
The objectives to achieve are:the study the fundamental concepts related to corporations and corporate management; the analysis of current theoretical approaches advocating the concept of value-based management; the justification and systematizing the methodology of diagnosis of economic and financial potential of corporations, which enable to identify the key-forces for improvement of the business entity; conducting the approval of standpoints, methods and diagnosis tools with potential to streamline corporate management of the entity.
The scientific novelty of the investigation consists of: increasing of corporate management efficiency by virtue of diagnostics of enterprise financial and economic potential; emphasizing differences between the concepts of "analysis" and "diagnostics"; systematization and evaluation of resultative indicators referred to economic and financial potential of enterprise; improving of legislative and normative framework to ensure compliance by business entities of corporate governance principles; elaboration of Corporate Governance Code, having one of the principles - the principle of effective management.
The important scientific problem solved is to demonstrate the necessity of diagnostics of economic entity’s potential and determining of the set of indicators for argumentation of managerial decisions, which will contribute to timely and appropriate diagnostics of enterprise’s potential and its financial position and improving of efficiency of corporate management.
The theoretical significance and value of the thesis is mainly determined by: the fundamental theoretical aspects related to corporate management and the diagnosis of potential of economic entity as a tool to streamline it; the possibility of implementing the proposals and conclusions in order to improve the corporate management; promoting the equilibrium between the effective development of business, on the one hand, and ethics / social responsibility, on the other hand.
The implementation of scientific results.
The author's conclusions were stated from the diagnosis of potential of following
economic entities: "Supraten" JSC., JV "Total Leasing & Finance" JSC, "Alvim-Auto" LLC,
"Tex-Auto-Pit" and "Cloudata" LLC The main conclusions of the author, resulted from research,
has served as support for decision making process for managers of „Alvim-Auto” LLC and
"Tex-Auto-Pit" LLC, and the results obtained were implemented by the author within the
economic entity "Cloudata" LLC, which led to an increase of economic potential, as confirmed
by implementing acts.
