Summary

Field of study: social psychology.

The aim of the researchis to identify the constitutive elements of the social representation of the family to the population of the Republic of Moldova, from the perspective of the age, gender, environment and the study differences, as well as the possibilities of the developing the respective construct through the psychosocial intervention.

Research objectives:the research and the development of the theoretical foundations regarding the family and the social representation, the content determination of the family social representation in the Republic of Moldova; the possibilities determination of the social representation development, by modeling some social practice change episodes by means of the psychological intervention program applying, the formulation of the final conclusions considering the actual content of the family social representation in the Republic of Moldova.

The resolved scientific problem: the content of the social representation of the family for the population of the Republic of Moldova was identified, from the perspective of the age differences, gender, background and the study differences as well as it was demonstrated experimentally the possibility of the peripheral elements influence of family social representation in adolescents through the psychological intervention program.

The scientific novelty and originality of the obtained results resides in performing a structuralfunctional analysis of the family social representation, highlighting its forms and types and functions. The meaning of the concepts of social representation was argued, as well as the central core, peripheral elements, social practices for contemporary family research; By applying the classic methods of investigating the family social representation, the content of the social representation of the contemporary family was determined; A psychological intervention program based on the modeling of episodes of changing social practice was developed, applied and validated - a tool of psychosocial nature that can be used for the purpose of developing the social representation of the family;

The theoretical significance of the research is the completion of the theoretical field with scientific information on the content of the family social representation to the population of the Republic of Moldova from the perspective of age differences, gender, the environment of origin and the level of education and the establishment of the peripheral elements possibilities development of the family social representation in adolescents by modeling episodes of changing social practice.

Applicative value of the paper. The obtained results, about the constituents of the family social representation at age, gender, background and the level of education, can be applied as a basis for social family policies (family education, family planning, family school). The program can serve as a basis for other psychosocial intervention programs. The results of the experimental investigation, the psychological intervention program are useful to school psychologists, teachers and psychology counselors; it can be proposed to teachers who teach civic education in gymnasium and lyceum.

Implementation of scientific results. The obtained results were implemented into practice as a part of the promoted activities with the practicing psychologists in the northern part of the Republic of Moldova by means of the Applied Scientific Research Project, financed by the ASM, entitled "Researching the Functionality of Families in the Republic of Moldova and Developing the Mechanisms for their Psycho-Social Redeployment in the Context of European Integration"; psychological counseling activities offered through the site www.psyconsult.usarb.md; teaching in in-service training for school psychologists as well as for teachers.
