The aim of thesis was to identify, measure and evaluate the employees' non-verbal communication and impression management skills and their development in order to optimize their communication and organizational skills.

Research objectives: the systematization of the existing information in the specialized literature regarding the meaning of the notions of non-verbal communication and impression management and the specification of the content of these concepts for the organizational environment, under the conditions of examining the means of non-verbal communication (visual contact, facial expression, gestures and posture, expressiveness paraverbal, proxemics, external appearance) and verbal impression management tactics (self-promotion, complimenting, exemplifying, pleading, intimidation) in the form of experimental variables.

The novelty and scientific originality of the results obtained. In the present work, for the first time in the Romanian space, the variables were delimited and a model of the relationship between nonverbal communication skills and impression management in the organizational environment was developed, two research methods were drawn up and validated, the role of nonverbal communication and the differentiated use of impression management strategies in the manifestation of communicative and organizational skills. Based on the experimental findings, an intervention methodology was developed and applied in the form of training, through which impression management skills were developed through non-verbal communication.

The obtained research results that contribute to the solution of an important scientific problem consist in the development of a theoretical-praxiological model of the development of relational skills in order to optimize professional activity, which presents the conceptualization of non-verbal communication skills and the formation of impression management strategies, as well as the indicators that points to the bidirectional relationship between these variables, demonstrating the positive effect of the training for the development of impression management strategies through non-verbal communication, for further use in improving the psychosocial activity of employees in the organizational environment.

The theoretical significance consists in the presentation of an original model of non-verbal communication skills and impression management tactics, and of social openness in order to make the psychosocial activity of employees in the organizational environment more efficient; defining the specific content of the notion of nonverbal communication in terms of the development of these capacities and the self-evaluation of impression management.

The applicative value of the work consists in the selection of methods and the creation of a scientific research methodology of the role of non-verbal communication in impression management and the development of non-verbal communication capacities in the organizational environment. The validated tools, as well as the training for the formation of impression management skills through non-verbal communication, can serve organizational counselor specialists, organizational psychologists, scientific researchers and practicing psychologists.
