Thesis structure: introduction, 3 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 219 titles, 145 pages of basic text, 4 annexes, which sum up: the analytical study of the violin sonatas of the great romantic composers; 419 musical examples; 44 tables; 7 architectonic schemes. The results of the research are reflected in 25 published scientific papers. The aim of the paper is to elucidate the evolutionary process and highlight the specific features of the Romanian violin sonatas from the first half of the XXth century in the context of the compositional traditions of European musical romanticism continuity.
Research objectives: evaluation of the genre of violin sonata in the creation of romantic composers in terms of revealing the aesthetic and stylistic principles of European musical romanticism; the historical retrospective of the romantic sonata for violin and piano; the revelation of romantic compositional thinking in Enescu's violin sonatas; identification of the romantic influences, including those of Enescu, in the Romanian violin sonatas from the first half of the XXth century; the research of the stylistic interference between the features of romantic affiliation, the folkloric elements, the contemporary compositional techniques.
The novelty and scientific originality of the thesis consists in the application of systemic thinking in the research of the Romanian violin sonata genre from the first half of the XXth century; in the examination of sonatas from the perspective of capitalizing on the ideational-semantic and morphological-syntactic elements characteristic for romanticism; in the introduction in the scientific circuit of less studied pieces, including the Sonata for violin and piano by Șt. Neaga. The obtained result that contributes to the solution of an important scientific problem lies in the elaboration of a panoramic image on the Romanian violin sonata from the first half of the XXth century outlined in terms of assimilating the stylistic influences of romanticism, thus ensuring the placement of national composition in a European context, creating the theoretical basis for valuing and promoting the respective creations of the chamber music repertoire.
The theoretical significance of the thesis consists in the synthesis of theoretical and historical approaches in the research of the romantic sonata for violin and piano; establishing the evolutionary route of the Romanian violin sonata from the first half of the XXth century; the enrichment and diversification of scientific knowledge regarding the manifestation of the influences of Romanism in the Romanian sonata for violin and piano, covering certain gaps in the research of this field of musical composition. The theoretical-scientific contribution of the paper is also manifested by opening new horizons and encouraging new studies conducted in that context.
The applicative value of the paper lies in the possibility of using the research results in the study process in the specialty Instrumental Performing within the disciplines Instrument (violin) and Chamber Ensemble. The materials of the thesis can be recommended as additional informative material for the courses History of National Music and Musical Forms. At the same time, they can be used as a methodological support for the elaboration of original interpretive visions applied in the concert activity.
The implementation of the scientific results was achieved within the training process of AMTAP students, as well as in the interpretive and scientific activity, by participation in international and national scientific conferences and publishing articles and studies on the topic of the thesis.
