Summary

Structure of the thesis: The thesis consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, 280 bibliography sources, 22 annexes, 155 pages of basic text, 34 tables and 54 schemes. The results are published in 13 scientific papers.

The field of research covers general psychology with reference to the effective management of personal and professional youth potentialities.

The research purpose consists in identifying the peculiarities of interaction between self-esteem and expectations at young persons as a foundation of personal and professional development.

General objectives: analysis of theoretical approaches to the concepts of self-esteem and expectations as core elements of personality development; identifying interaction between self-esteem and expectations as a psychological phenomenon, identifying peculiarities of self-esteem - expectations at young people; establishing the profiles of interaction self-esteem – expectations at young people; establishing, application and experimental validation of the Program of personal and professional youth development from the perspective of self-esteem – expectations interaction peculiarities; establishing some management strategies of interaction between self-esteem and expectations at young people.

Scientific novelty and originality is focused on the opportunity to create a program of training for personal and professional development, based on experimental arguments of psychological areas of youth development, in order to achieve personal and professional success. The researched scientific problem is to establish interaction features between self-esteem and level of expectations by young people, which helped to develop some psychological profiles and a program of personal and professional development as well, in order to implement them in the organizations responsible for training in personal and professional development of young people.

Theoretical value of research consists in providing new theoretical information on the profiles of young people, according to the interaction between self-esteem and level of expectations, starting from personal development, adequate self-knowledge and continuing with professional competence development, according to current requirements.

The applicative value of the research is represented by: planning strategy for personal and professional development process of young people; methodology of personal development of youth in order to achieve personal and professional success; methodology of perpetual professional development of teaching-staff within the institution; Managerial tools for: self-knowledge, professional training, human resources development; the research materials offer the leaders the possibility to substantially increase the work quality within the sponsored organizations and institutions by developing professional team efficiency, motivated and oriented towards perpetual training through personal and professional self-development.

Implementing of the scientific results of research, in the psychological aspect, are the basis of evaluation approach of teachers in the Lyceum "Elimul Nou"; the training, developed in the formative approach, was applied for self-improvement and development of training courses for teachers and students.
