Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, 3 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography 201 sources, 197 pages, 137 pages of main text, 22 tables, 43 figures, 11 annexes. The results are published in 10 scientific papers.

Field of study: pedagogy

Research goal: improving the application of swimming specific means in order to prevent functional physical deficiencies of the spine at pre-pubertal children.

Objectives:
1. The analysis and generalization of data coming from the specialized literature, regarding the evaluation and the diagnosis of physical functioning deficiencies of the spine and methods of prevention or recovery through swim.
2. Identifycation of the etiopathogenic factors of physical functioning deficiencies of the spine, in the stage of postural vicious attitude and their negative influence on children in prepubertal perriod.
3. Study regarding somatoscopic, somatosensory function and psychomotor analysis of prepubertal children in order to develop a methodology for implementing therapeutic swimming means to prevent posture deficits.
4. Methodological and experimental rationale regarding the effectiveness of therapeutic swimming program in order to prevent the trend of installing physical functioning deficiencies of the spine of pre/pubertal age children.

Scientific novelty and originality lie in developing and implementing a comprehensive program of exercises specific to therapeutic swimming, with the role of maintaining a correct postural attitude by increasing the morpho-functional, motric and psycho motric parameters in order to ensure harmonious growth and development.

The scientific problem solved in the field of research lies in the theoretical and experimental fundamentation of a program specific to therapeutic swimming in order to prevent physical functional deficiencies to the spine at prepubertal children.

The theoretical significance of the paper is to address scientific approach of methodological concepts based on the obtained research results through which it was proposed a working program in order to combat installing a vicious postural attitude by developing psychomotric capacities using the means specific to therapeutic swimming.

The applicative value of the work is the possibility of applying a system of assessment and identification of vicious and postural attitude while executing a therapeutic swimming program with prophylactic character towards maintaining a positive postural status.

Implementation of scientific results was achieved through the training of children enrolled in the experiment. The developed methodic was presented within seminars, national and international scientific conferences.
