Summary

Structure of the thesis: annotation, introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography – 199 sources, 13 annexes, 133 basic text pages, 41 figures, 7 tables. The results of the research are published in 9 papers.

The purpose of the research is to determine the theoretical and methodological basis of the physical education of medical faculty students and the elaboration of the binary methodology for achieving this process ensuring the physical and somatofunctional development of the the future medical students.

Objectives of the paper: 1. Analysis of concepts, approaches, visions in the field of physical education in higher education. 2. Establishing the peculiarities of physical education of medical facult y students . 3. Conceptualizat ion of physical education of the students – future physicians (substantiation of the theoretical and methodological aspects). 4. Elaboration of the binary methodology of the physical education of medical faculty students. 5. Experimental validat ion of the binary methodology of the physical educat ion of the students – future physicians.

The scientific novelty and originality of the research resides in: the substantiation of the conceptual framework of the physical education of the medical faculty students: theoretical provisio ns, principles etc.; establishing the valences and peculiarit ies of the physical educat ion of the students – the future physicians from the perspective of contribut ions to the professional training, physical and somatofunctional development of the medical faculty students, as well as the substantiation and elaboration of a binary methodology: formal physical education and nonformal physical education (extracurricular), which involves the active involvement of students in this process in relation to their psychomotor and professional needs.

The important scientific problem solvedin the field aims the theoretical basis of the physical education process of medical faculty students, by binary methodology for achieving this process from a systemic (complex) and curricular perspective, which would lead to optimal physical and somatofunctional training of the students, forming duty motor and applicative professional skills needed by medical workers.

Theoretical significance of the work: As a result of the analysis of the specialty literature, methodological and pedagogical observations refered during the experiment, on the basis of the research data, some conceptual positions were established and substantiated on the physical education of medical faculty students, elaborate and substantiated the binary methodology of interaction of physical education as an academic discipline and as an extracurricular activity having the purpose: the physical, somatofunctional development of the students and the contribution to the formation of the professional competences of the future physicians, valorizing in this sense the valences and opportunities of physical education.

The applicative value of the paper is the possibilit y to determine the binary methodology of organizing physical education subject in medical higher educational institutions by updating the curriculum to the requirements of professional disciplines from the perspective of capitalizing the opportunities of physical education subject and in transferring the proposed concept for physical education subject of the students from faculties with other specializations.

Implementation of scientific results: The scientific results of the carried out research were presented in some papers sustained during symposiums, conferences and national and internat ional scientific sessions, were made well-known in specialt y journals from Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
