The purpose of research consists in devising and experimentally supporting the efficiency of using the “Data Volley” software in the sports training of senior male volleyball players.
The objectives of research: 1. The analysis of bibliographical data on the topic of training senior volleyball players at the present stage. 2. Finding the level of sports training of volleyball players at a national level. 3. Drawing up the experimental application methodology of the “Data Volley” software in the sports training of senior volleyball players. 4. Experimental support of the application efficiency of the “Data Volley” software in the sports training of senior volleyball players. The scientific novelty and originality of research consists in the theoretical and scientific drawing up and supporting the experimental application methodology of the “Data Volley” software in training senior volleyball players, thus contributing to optimizing the process of sports training.
The scientific problem solved consists in determining the theoretical and practical bases regarding the elaboration and implementation of the application methodology of the “Data Volley” software in the training process of senior volleyball players. The implementation of the experimental methodology proposed contributes to the essential reduction of the time allotted to game action analysis, the increase of the objectivity of the data recorded, assists in taking fast effective decisions in leading official and friendly games, as well as during training sessions.
The theoretical significance is accounted for by the elaboration of a new concept of sports training of senior volleyball players by means of the “Data Volley” software in the teaching process. The efficiency of this software is expressed by the fact that it allows for the fast recording of the play actions, which may be subsequently analysed and corrected from a technical and tactical point of view for each position, as well as at the level of the entire team.
The applicative value of the thesis rests on the possibility to implement in practice the methodology of recording the players’ actions according to their play position. It allows for the intervention with optimal solutions in organizing and managing the game. The experimental methodology proposed may be applied as a methodological guide for volleyball coaches from certain age categories, as well as in the process of professional training of the students in the higher education institutions specializing in volleyball.
Implementation of scientific results. The results of the research were implemented in the training process, as well as in the official games of the teams taking part in the National Senior Volleyball Championship A1 Division.
