Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 302 titles, 15 annexes, 131 pages of basic text, 45 figures, 24 tables. The results are published in 16 scientific papers.

Field of study: pedagogy.

The purpose of the research is to improve the training process of knowledge, skills and abilities specific to sports training.

The research objectives aimed at: 1. The theoretical approach to the problem of the formation process affected in the knowledge of psycho-pedagogical, anatomical and physiological, theoretical and practical positions. 2. Appreciation of theoretical level of sport training at high school students. 3. Elaboration of curriculum content for training of cognitive research as experimental methodology in sports training theory. 4. Experimental substantiation and reasoning methodology for cognitive skills training in theoretical sport training with students in sports high schools through methods of graphical symbols and mathematical operations.

The scientific novelty and originality lies in the development and implementation of teaching, the teaching – learning - assessment of the “Theoretical Sport Training" discipline and in the methods of graphical symbols and mathematical operations.

The important scientific problem addressed in the field of research focused on the ways that students from sports high schools could form and develop cognitive skills in order to streamline activities, both in the classroom and in training and competitions.

The theoretical significance of the paper lies in the illustration of the real, objective and current specific organization of education in the context of "Sports Training Theory".

The value of the work clears from the wide range that one can take from methods of graphical symbols and mathematical operations at many school subjects in all the stages of education.

Implementation of scientific results. Research results have been applied in Suceava Sports High School in the classes where the teaching experiment was conducted in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years.
