The thesis consists of: Introduction; 4 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography which include 129 titles, 15 annexes, 123 pages (up to bibliography), 40 figures, 21 Tables. The obtained results have been published in 15 scientific papers.
Field of study - engineering sciences and technologies.
Purpose of thesis is proposing solutions for improvement the quality of solid biofuels in accordance with policies for the development of renewable energy sources.
The Objectives of the thesis: Identifying the current state of research in the production of solid biofuels according to the requirements of international standards; obtaining and expanding the new knowledge of factors that influence the quality of solid biofuels in the form of briquettes and the ways of conducting them with these factors; acquiring new knowledge and information on the evaluation and exploitation of the biomass potential in the Republic of Moldova; promote and apply optimal decisions in the design, production and use of densified solid biofuels.
The scientific novelty and originality consists in selecting the topic to make a research of the quality management system of bio briquettes produced from indigenous raw materials in accordance with the policies for the development of renewable energy sources; a detailed critical analysis of the current state of the doctoral thesis; develop recommendations to establish prescriptions for indigenous feedstock mixtures for the production of ENPlus biobriquettes; elaborate technological components for the processing of bio briquettes with torrefaction raw material.
The important scientific problem solved. Improve the quality of bio briquettes produced from indigenous agricultural residues by blending, the improvement of biobriquettes manufacturing technologies with the application of the material rectification and optimizing the technological processes of torrefaction and densification the raw material.
The theoretical significance refers to the improvement of the quality of densified solid biofuels by optimizing the constitution of the raw material, the usage of the thermo-chemical processes aiming to improve a series of quality indicators of the finished product, the improvement of the raw material logistics concept and processing the final product.
The applicative value of the thesis, is the possibility to be able and use the suggested technology to improve the quality of biobriquettes, produced from indigenous agricultural residues, by optimizing the constitution of the raw material, using the thermo-chemical processes for improving the quality indicators of the finished product, and enhance the concept of raw material logistics and processing the final product.
