ANNOTATION Gidei Mariana „Formation of the students' professional communication competences in the higher education of physical education and sports”, PhD thesis in education sciences. Chisinau, 2021 The structure of the thesis includes: introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, references of 191 titles, 9 annexes, 131 basic text pages, 10 tables, 37 figures. The results are published in 17 scientific papers. The aim of the research consists in the theoretical and applicative basis of the Forming reference of the students’ professional communication competences in the physical education and sports faculties in order to connect to the current requirements of higher education. Research objectives: Conceptual analysis of communication, communication competences, professional competences, professional communication competences and their formative essences in the instructional process as targets of university education; description of the specifics of the characteristics, factors, functions of communication competences and communication management as success factors in building the educational approach of forming the students professional competences; specifying the component units and developing the Integrated Model of the module; elaboration of the experimental approach of forming professional communication competences based on the integrated module "Communication management in physical education and sports"; experimental validation of the formative quality of the Forming reference of the students’ professional communication competences in the physical education and sports faculties. Scientific novelty and originality consists in the theoretical-applied referencing of the training tool for forming professional communication competences based on the capitalization of communication management in physical education and sports; in demonstrating the formative values of the modernized module "Communication Management in Physical Education and Sports"; in illustrating the need to form the student-future specialist in physical education and sports as a communication manager. The obtained results that contributed to the solution of the important scientific problem record the elaboration and capitalization of the Forming reference of the students’ professional communication competences in the physical education and sports faculties in the educational process at university level, which contributed to raising the level of students’ communication competences in order of their application in the subsequent professional activity. The theoretical importance lies in the conceptual approach of the notions of communication competences and professional communication competences in physical education and sports; in revealing the pedagogical meanings of the notion of professional communication management competences; in the theoretical modeling of the Forming reference of the students’ professional communication competences in the higher education of physical education and sports. The applicative value of the paper lies in the potential of using the tools developed and validated experimentally in the practice of university education in various disciplines, in order to form and develop students' communication competences from the perspective of focusing on their professionalism. The obtained results come to complete the theoretical and practical data in the field of physical education and sports, in order to improve the initial and continuous training of the specialist in the field, with openness to lifelong learning. Implementation of the scientific results: The results of the research were implemented within the educational process of the State University of Physical Education and Sport in the training of the highly qualified specialists in the field of physical education and sport.
