Summary

The object of the research is counseling and school orientation in context of linguistic and literary education of teen-agers. The author has grounded theoretically and has validated through experiment marks for school counseling – has redefined the activity of school orientation and counseling, the subjects of school counseling, has inferred scientific principles specific to school counseling, has elaborated and validated experimentally a sistem of didactic-instructive and school counseling models.

The key words that the research was based on are: abilities, axiology, didactic frame, competences, communication, counselor, counseling, counselee, main teacher, linguistic education, literary-artistic education, personal culture, school culture, standards, orientation, needs, values.

The author has described theoretical marks concerning school orientation and counseling activity through general and literary hermeneutics viewpoint.

Viewing counseling as an education science has required the development of some notions connected to teen-agers education such as psycho-intellectual development through psychological, literary and linguistic means. On the basis of the theoretical study regarding the ideeas, notions and school orientation and counseling theories the author has elaborated her own outlook regarding the activity of counseling acording to which counseling and school orientation must concern all teen-agers not just those with special needs, the approach of the counselor teacher beeing oriented at satisfying the special needs of teen-agers and the activity of school counseling beeing the privilege not only of the school psychologist but in the first place of parents and school teachers.

The general character of school counseling and the redefining of the subjects of counseling as well as the inventory of teen-agers specific needs, established on the basis of the research of teen-agers attitudes towards the main values and institutions connected to their life - original acquisitions of the author - are based theoretically and experimentally in the context of linguistic and literary education of high school pupils. In this aim the author has elaborated and experimented on a sistem of models of school counseling in the context of the activities from the school subject Romanian Literature and Language through which have been validated the main caracteristics of the teen-ager in his double role as counselee and literature reader/cultural subject as well as the basic caracteristics of the Romanian Literature and Language teacher in his double activity as a teacher and school counselor. The author has demonstrated also that the subject Romanian Literature and Language has the most important potentials in school counseling due to its two human defining activities, comunicative and literary. The author has built this way an integrative notion of linguistic education/literary-artistic education and school counseling that is achiving a holistic approach on the activity of orientation and counseling in the context of linguistic and literary education.

The results of the research are addressed to: decision factors, curriculum developers, manual authors, teachers.
