Summary

Thesis Structure: introduction, 3 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography out of 180 sources, 16 annexes, 145 pages of basic scientific text, 14 figures, 19 tables. The obtained results were published in 11 scientific papers.

The field of study refers to general pedagogy and addresses the problem of media education of the pupils of elementary school age in the context of school-family collaboration.

The purpose of the research consists in development and experimentation of the pedagogical fundamentals of media education within school-family collaboration at the stage of primary education.

The objectives of the research: analysis, specification and delimitation of the theoretical gui-ding marks regarding the problem of media education in the context of school-family collaboration; examination, interpretation and ascertainment of the multipurpose aspect of the possibilities of media education in the context of formation of representations and moral beliefs of the pupils of primary edu-cation stage and parents; identification of the conditions for media education of the pupils from primary stage within the school-family collaboration; development of the fundamentals, strategies and contents of the media education intended for the pupils from primary stage and their parents; experimental verification of the pedagogical fundamentals of the media education within school-family collaboration.

Scientific novelty and originality is reified by holistic, historic and socio-psycho-pedago-gical approach of the media education; specification and demarcation of the basic concepts in the terms of permanent education and formation of the culture of improvement of mass-media at the pupils and parents; examination and ascertainment of the multipurpose aspect of the possibilities of media education in the context of formation of representations and moral beliefs at the pupils of primary education stage and parents; identification of the conditions for media education of the pupils from primary stage within the school-family collaboration; development and scientific argumentation of the pedagogical fundamentals of the education with regard to mass-media for pupils within school-family collaboration at the stage of primary education.

The importance of scientific problem solved lies in pedagogical, theoretical and phraseolo-gical foundation of media education for pupils from primary education stage within school-family collaboration.

Theoretical significance of the research is supported by analysis, specification and delimitation of the theoretical guiding marks (concepts, theories, epoch-making, principles, etc.) regarding education for mass-media, tackled in the context of school-family collaboration and permanent education; critical examination and analysis of the functions, possibilities and impact of mass-media on the development of child’s personality, including the impact on the formation of the moral profile of the child; theoretical development and foundation of the Model of education for mass-media for the pupils of elementary school age within school-family collaboration.

Applicatory value of the research consists in development and ratification of the set of pedagogical instruments, centralized in the Model of education for mass-media for the pupils of elementary school age within school-family collaboration, which in the terms of its theoretical essence and importance represents the scientific fundamentals. These fundamentals developed in accordance with the conditions established in this research, may contribute to the formation of the culture of improvement of media sources, as well as to moral education of the pupils.

Implementation of the scientific results was performed within the pedagogical experiment at two levels: in the formal and informal activities with pupils and parents, including teachers from primary stage, “George Călinescu” Lyceum, Chişinău, and methodological seminar for optimizing educational partnership.
