Summary

The given thesis presents a thorough research on organization, implementation and making civic education efficient for the pupils of the gymnasium level. The author presents arguments of the necessity of the given subject in the process of education in the Republic of Moldova. The research is focused on the National Curriculum of civic education from the point of view of the perspectives of the formation of pupils’ integrated skills which lie in the basis of most of the European curricula.

The author analyzes the conception of civic education, civic skills and the assessment of civic skills. She starts with the methodical difficulties in the process of the implementation of the curriculum in civic education of the gymnasium level. Then the author gives an account of modern pedagogical conceptions; she suggests and exercises a functional pedagogical model of the formation of the gymnasium level pupils’ civic skills, besides she presents schemes of the assessment model of pupils’ civic skills.

The author demonstrates the efficiency of the technological model of the formation of the pupils’ civic skills and recommends insistently reorient of the present curriculum in civic education towards the formation of skills.

In the context of the results of the experiments the author has stated certain tendencies as general tendencies: the necessity of correlation of the process of civic education and the formation of civic skills with the formation of the positive attitude to the realization of democratic values and achievements which correspond to the state symbols and national values.

The author’s research has determined that the process of civic education is becoming effective if it is directed towards the formation of civic skills.

The results of research demonstrate recommendations of the necessity of reorienting of the curriculum in civic education and the national curriculum towards the formation of pupils’ skills.
