Summary

The research is exposed in 185 basic text pages and includes the introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography from 187 titles, 3 charts, 1 picture, 8 annexes. The basic content of the thesis is presented in 7 scientific papers.

The purpose of the research consists in the identification of social and pedagogical foundations on which the establishment of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm was based.

The research objectives are: the retrospective analysis of the studies regarding the evolution of the universal social pedagogy paradigm and of the researches regarding the establishment of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm; the analysis and systematization of pedagogical theories and concepts of Romanian thinkers in the inter-war period who brought important pedagogical, sociologic and philosophic contributions to the establishment of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm; the building up of the structural model of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm; the highlight of the possibilities to capitalize certain paradigmatic elements in the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy in the current educational praxis.

The scientific novelty of the research consists in: the historical valorization of the pedagogical thinking in the inter-war period, engaged in the preparation of the Romanian social pedagogy paradigm; in the building up of the matrix of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm based on the pedagogical analyses of the studied social and pedagogical works: Dimitrie Gusti, Petre Andrei, I.C.Petrescu and Stanciu Stoian; in the valorization of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm in the current educational praxis through advanced curricular projection at a university and pre-university level.

The scientific value of the research consists in the interpretation and update of the main theories, universal concepts about social pedagogy and valorization of representative works of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy; the preparation of the pedagogical model for the analysis of the first experiences, orientations and social pedagogy studies launched and supported in the inter-war period by important Romanian pedagogues and sociologists; the research of the social pedagogy place in the system of education sciences; the curricular projection valorizing the inter-war social pedagogy paradigm in the current educational praxis.

The applicative value of the research is determined by the curricular projection and experimentation in view of subsequent implementation in the current educational praxis of certain valuable ideas contained in the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm (at the level of the process related to the continuous training of form teachers and at the level of the training of social education experts); the valorization of the Romanian inter-war social pedagogy paradigm in teaching courses in the field of education sciences included in the program of psychopedagogical studies – initial training and continuous training of the Romanian didactic personnel.
