Summary

Structure of the thesis: Introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, references comprising 268 sources, 138 pages of themain text, 55 figures, 36 tables. The obtained results were published in 17 scientific works.

Goal of the thesis: Substantiation of the theoretical and praxeological fundaments, conceptualization and experiment-based validation of the pedagogical model of evaluation of transdisciplinary competencies of pupils of primary education through the integrative test.

Objectives of research: 1) comparative analysis of the international and national legislative and regulatory framework pertaining to school competencies evaluation; 2) synthesis of the theoretical benchmarks of school results evaluation in primary education; 3) identification of the essence of school results evaluation, through the prism of didactics of competencies; 4) development of the pedagogical model of transdisciplinary competencies evaluation in primary education; 5) development and experiment-based validation of the technology of transdisciplinary competencies evaluation, using the integrative test, upon completion of the primary education cycle; 6) development, implementation and presentation of the efficacy of the curricular concept of pedagogical staff training in the field of transdisciplinary competencies evaluation, using the integrative test.

Novelty and scientific originality lies in: pedagogical model of transdisciplinary competencies evaluation in primary education; technology of the evaluation of pupils’ transdisciplinary competencies through the integrative test, upon completion of the primary education cycle; teacher training curricular construction in the area of evaluation of transdisciplinary competencies of primary education pupils via the integrative test application; experiment-based validation construction of the Technology of evaluation of transdisciplinary competencies of primary education pupils by using the integrative test.

Significant scientific problem settled within research lies in theoretical and praxeological substantiation of the functionality of the pedagogical model and technology of transdisciplinary competencies evaluation in primary education, using the integrative test, thus ensuring the efficiency of the process of pupils’ competencies evaluation upon completion of the primary education cycle. Theoretical significance is emphasised by: pedagogical model of evaluation of pupils’ transdisciplinary competencies in primary education; stages that are specific to the process of transdisciplinary competencies evaluation in primary education; denotation of evaluation of the school results through the prism of didactics of competencies; argumention of the correlations between: efficiency standards, performance indicators, transdisciplinary competencies; key /transversal/ transdisciplinary competencies versus specific competencies to school disciplines; key/ transversal competencies versus school disciplines.

Approval of research results. This research was carried on within the Department of Psychopedagogy and Educational Management of the Institute of Education Sciences. The theoretical and praxeological results of the research were approved at the meetings of the Department of Psychopedagogy and Educational Management, and at the meetings of the Educational Research Council of the Institute of Education Sciences.

Implementation of scientific results: the research theoretical and methodological results were implemented via scientific and methodological seminars held with pedagogical staff within the continuous education courses for teachers and school managers conducted at the Institute of Education Sciences, and also via scientific publications in the international and national journals.
