The work comprises 141 pages. It consists of an introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions, recommendations, bibliography comprising 200 references, and 4 annexes. The work includes 23 tables and 22 figures. The results of research were published in 10 scientific works (5 articles in compilations and reviewed journals, 5 works containing materials presented at international conferences).
Field of study: cross-cultural education in the higher education establishments.
Purpose of study: to establish the concept-methodological bases of the higher education of students.
Research objectives: Analysis of cross-cultural problems and cross-cultural education in the specialized literature, analysis of cross-cultural policies in education, substantiation of the conceptual landmarks of cross-cultural education within the university, projection of the cross-curriculum of cross-cultural education within the university framework, elaboration of the Institutional project of cross-cultural education, experimental validation of the Institutional project of cross-cultural education.
Scientific novelty and originality of the obtained results: Substantiation of social landmarks of cross-cultural education: socialization as a process of study through interaction with others and as a model of sociocultural behaviour, social representations as a system of values and a form of social thinking, as a way of communication with others. Definition of cross-cultural education as an education of interpersonal relationships which involve different cultures: system of cross-cultural skills which include the following components: motivation, knowledge, abilities, attitudes; didactic system of formation of students cross-cultural competences; determination of social-pedagogical factors and conditions of cross-cultural education of students: cross-cultural situation, socio-linguistic environment, legal and normative framework; elaboration of the concept of cross-cultural education focused on an approach of interculturality; elaboration of the Institutional project of cross-cultural education representing a totality of managerial, curricular and extracurricular activities.
The solved scientific problem: conceptual and praxeological substantiation of cross-cultural education within the framework of higher education from a contextual, cultural and projective perspective through culturological, psychological, sociological and pedagogical approach.
Theoretical significance: development of cross-cultural pedagogics through: definition of the notion of “cross-cultural education” the culturological, psychological, social and pedagogical perspective; development of the system of educational principles through substantiation of theoretical foresights concerning the comprehensive-integrator character, multisectoral approach of interculturality, assuming of responsibilities; and system of fundamental values; development of the cultural theory regarding the concept of cross-curriculum of cross-cultural education; theoretical modeling of the Institutional project of cross-cultural education within the framework of higher education as a reflection of concept of the cross-cultural education.
Practical value: projection and implementation of cross-curriculum of cross-cultural education within the framework of higher education; elaboration and practical valuing of the cross-cultural education strategies within the framework of higher education; application of the Institutional project of cross-cultural education in other institutions of higher education.
The research results implementing has been done by author`s publications, reports at seminars, participation at national and international scientific conferences, as well by the pedagogical experiment carried out at State Medical and Pharmaceutical University “Nicolae Testemiţanu”.
